A grey whale gave birth to a calf during a whale-watching tour, and we're so excited! Our flagship drawing, but in real life! After the new momma lifted her calf up to take it's first breath, they played together and cuddled. It's amazing to think that this creature might still be around 80 years from now.
It's rare for us humans to see the calves that new. Grey whale numbers have been declining since their peak around 2015. Hopefully this is a sign of better days for these magnificent mammals.
